Williams body was recovered April 15. The lawsuit was filed in St. Mary Parish on behalf of Williams wife and his nine adult children. It seeks damages for personal injury and wrongful death from four defendants: two Seacor entities; Talos Energy, which hired the liftboat; and SEMCO LLC, which constructed the liftboat.The family alleges the companies had complete disregard for crew safety when the liftboat sailed into severe weather. The lawsuit notes marine warnings were in place when the vessel capsized 8 miles offshore from Port Fourchon. The defendants . knew or should have known of the deteriorating and dangerous conditions, the complaint said.There have been two other lawsuits filed since the Seacor Power capsized April 13.
